MEDICAL DIVISION

The Medical Division of the Tri-Community Fire Department is dedicated to delivering exceptional non-transport Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) services to our community. Led by Battalion Chief J. Smith, this division ensures that highly trained medical personnel are always prepared to provide high-quality care during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Non-Transport ALS/BLS Services: The division provides critical medical care at emergency scenes, stabilizing patients and ensuring their safety until Hamilton County EMS units arrive.

  • Medical Training and Certification: Medical personnel undergo rigorous training to maintain current certifications and stay aligned with the latest practices and protocols in emergency medical care.

  • Equipment Management: The division oversees the maintenance and readiness of all medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance during critical incidents.

The Operations Division's commitment to readiness and adaptability ensures that the Tri-Community Fire Department remains a reliable force in safeguarding lives and property across the community.

Fleet and Equipment

The Medical Division operates a modern fleet of five ALS Medical Trucks, including:

  • 1 2022 Ford/Rosenbauer ALS Medical Truck

  • 4 2020 Ford/Rosenbauer ALS Medical Trucks

Each truck is equipped with specialized tools to address a variety of medical and service calls including:

  • ALS Medical Equipment: Frontline cardiac drugs, supplies for IV therapy, and a Lifepak 15 monitor/defibrillator.

  • Lucas Device: A lifesaving tool that provides consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest.

  • Lifting Equipment Suite: Essential tools for patient assistance and rescue in challenging situations.
