Public Affairs Division


The Tri-Community Fire Department Public Affairs Division, comprised of Public Relations Coordinator dedicated to promoting the daily operations and activities of the men and women of the Tri-Community Fire Department.

The primary objective of the Public Affairs Division is to collaborate directly with the Chief and the various divisions to ensure the accurate dissemination of information regarding the operations and activities of the TCFD to the media and the public.

This dissemination is conducted in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all released information is vetted and distributed to inform the public without compromising the integrity of the TCFD, its employees, or any ongoing investigations.

The Public Affairs Division is tasked with promoting the TCFD and its personnel both within the organization and to the broader public.

Within the department they also assist with special projects, provide communications training for personnel, distribute internal communications, draft speeches, document TCFD activities through photography, support recruitment efforts, and participate in community events such as the Collegedale Light the Tree event every Christmas, career days at local schools, open houses, and many more!
